The Rock Springs Main Street/URA announces winners of the 2022 Downtown Restaurant Week Top Notch Service awards

          After another fun and successful Restaurant Week in Downtown Rock Springs, The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 Top Notch Service Awards.

          Ten locations participated in the Downtown Restaurant Week, offering $12 specials between September 15th and 25th in effort to pull in more foot traffic. Participating restaurants include:

  • Bitter Creek Brewing
  • Boschetto’s European Market
  • Broadway Burger Station
  • Casa Chavez Mexican Restaurant
  • Coal Train Coffee Depot
  • Fiesta Guadalajara
  • Mi Pueblito
  • Mi Ranchito Family Mexican Restaurant
  • Remedies Grill
  • Sidekicks Wine and Book Bar

          Downtown Restaurant Week isn’t all about the food though– it’s also about the people. So this year, the Rock Springs Main Street/URA and Charles Robbie Lee, Licensed Agent with New York Life Insurance Company will honor top hospitality professionals from the annual Downtown Restaurant Week event.

           The Top Notch Service Awards honor an employees whose performance exceeds expectations by going above and beyond the job to deliver outstanding customer service or team support and making a positive influence on the business. Patrons were able to nominate individuals for “Front of House” and “Back of House.”

Winners include:

  • Front of House : Bethany Marchisio (Coal Train Coffee Depot)
  • Back of House : Maria Velazquez (Casa Chavez)

With their nominations, individuals were invited to make comments about the nominees. Some of the comments include:

            “She is always smiling and friendly...she goes out of her way to make the clients feel welcome. She is quick and the drinks and food she prepares for the clients is fabulous. She knows her job and is fabulous at it.She has fantastic customer service.” (Bethany Marchisio)

            “Always so friendly when we go in. She knows her customers and always greets us with a smile and even remembers our favorite drinks and asks if she can get those for us!  We’ve observed her treating all of the customers like she treats us, taking time to visit with them at their tables. We love the fact that Casa Chavez is run by her and her husband and we’re always happy to support this local restaurant.” (Maria Velazquez)
