Marylin Tangen Named Downtown Rock Springs Volunteer of the Month for March
Downtown Rock Springs is proud to announce Marylin Tangen as the Volunteer of the Month for March. Tangen is recognized for her unwavering commitment to the community, particularly her dedicated service in the concessions stand at the Broadway Theater and her continued support of all downtown events.
Marylin Tangen and her husband, Ray, made Rock Springs their permanent home after moving from Minnesota in 1980. They raised two daughters, both now married, and are the proud grandparents of three grandsons. Tangen served as a dedicated Speech/Language Pathologist for Sweetwater School District #1 for 30 years before retiring, which allowed her the time to pursue her passion for volunteering.
Volunteering at the historic Broadway Theater has been a particularly rewarding experience for Tangen. "I appreciate the transformation the Theater has made over the last years and it just keeps getting better and better. Rock Springs can truly be proud of the Broadway Theater”. Volunteering at The Broadway is just a small way Marilyn gives back to our community.
Danielle Salas, Marketing, Events and Theater Coordinator for the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA), praised Tangen's consistent dedication. "Marylin is a fixture at the Broadway Theater, always ready with a smile to help run our concessions," Salas said. "Beyond the theater, she continually steps up to support all of our downtown events. Her commitment to giving back to Rock Springs makes her an invaluable member of our volunteer team."
Downtown Rock Springs extends its sincere gratitude to Marylin Tangen for her outstanding contributions and congratulates her on being named Volunteer of the Month for March.
