Introducing our Inaugural Business of the Month Award Winner: Whiskey Goats Outdoor Co.
The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) is proud to announce Whiskey Goats Outdoor Co. as the first-ever recipient of the Downtown Rock Springs Business of the Month Award, a new program recognizing outstanding local businesses that contribute to the vibrancy, character, and economic vitality of Downtown.
Located in the heart of Downtown at 416 S Main Street, Whiskey Goats Outdoor Co. has quickly built a strong reputation for offering quality outdoor gear and apparel while creating a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike. With a focus on adventure, lifestyle, and community, the business reflects the spirit of southwest Wyoming and the growing energy of Downtown Rock Springs.
“This inaugural round was incredibly competitive,” said Maria Mortensen, URA board chairwoman. “We received 25 nominations, and many of the businesses scored exceptionally high. Whiskey Goats stood out for their strong community presence, unique offerings, and the experience they bring to Downtown.”
The Business of the Month program is designed to celebrate businesses that go above and beyond in areas such as storefront presentation, community involvement, and overall contribution to Downtown’s vitality. Nominations are reviewed and scored by the URA’s Economic Vitality Committee using a standardized rubric to ensure a fair and thoughtful selection process.
As the April Business of the Month, Whiskey Goats Outdoor Co. will receive:
- A feather flag and sandwich board to display outside their storefront throughout the month
- Social media recognition across Downtown Rock Springs platforms
- A framed certificate for permanent display inside their business
The URA encourages the community to continue supporting local businesses and to participate in the program by submitting nominations. Nominations are accepted year-round and can be submitted at: DowntownRS.com
