URA and Broadway Theater Release 2025 Annual Reports Highlighting Community and Economic Impact

Last Updated 2/19/2026

The Rock Springs Main Street / Urban Renewal Agency (URA) is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 URA Annual Report alongside the Broadway Theater Annual Impact Report, highlighting another year of growth, community engagement, and measurable economic impact in Downtown Rock Springs.

The URA Annual Report showcases strong momentum in Downtown revitalization efforts, including the opening of 13 new businesses, the creation of 27.5 full-time equivalent jobs, and more than $3.2 million in combined public and private investment in the district. The URA also secured $85,000 in grant funding, supported three business improvement grants, and facilitated 51 direct connections with prospective and growing Downtown businesses.

Community engagement remained a cornerstone of URA efforts in 2025. The Downtown Clean Team collected 7,620 pounds of trash, provided 1,560 hospitality and visitor assists, and walked more than 435 miles throughout Downtown. Meanwhile, 3,213.75 volunteer hours were invested in Downtown programs and events, equating to an estimated $111,806 in community service value.

The newly released Broadway Theater Annual Impact Report highlights the Theater’s growing role as a cultural and economic anchor for Rock Springs. In 2025, the Broadway Theater hosted 98 events and welcomed 11,029 attendees, with 32% of ticket buyers traveling from outside the community—demonstrating the Theater’s regional draw.

According to data from the Americans for the Arts Arts & Economic Prosperity IV Calculator, the Broadway Theater is estimated to have produced $447,777 in total economic activity, supported approximately 12.7 full-time equivalent jobs, produced $270,645 in household income, and generated more than $39,000 in combined local and state government revenue. The Theater also received seven grants to support programming, accessibility improvements, and facility enhancements.

“Together, these reports show the real, measurable impact that Downtown investments, community partnerships, and cultural programming have on Rock Springs,” said Maria Mortensen, URA board chairwoman. “From business growth and tourism to volunteer engagement and arts access, Downtown continues to be a vital engine for our community.”
