✨ Christmas In The Park: Over 100,000 Lights

At Bunning Park, our signature holiday event brings the wonder. With over 100,000 lights, delightful displays, live entertainment, Santa visits, and free carriage rides, the park transforms into a glowing winter oasis. Walk the illuminated paths, snap family photos, sip hot cocoa, and soak in the warmth of the season.

🎅 Festive Experiences & Community Traditions

• Downtown Rock Springs offers so much more than lights. Here’s a full lineup of holiday fun — all designed to bring neighbors together, support local business, and spread joy:
• Santa Saturdays – Meet Santa each Saturday from Thanksgiving through December in the Downtown gazebo, 11 am to 2 pm.
• Letters to Santa – Kids (and grown‐ups!) can drop letters into the magical mailbox located at the Rock Springs Historical Museum. Don’t forget to include a return address so Santa can write back. 
• Marguerite Santa - Don’t miss the historical Marguerite Santa at the Rock Springs Historical Museum (201 B Street) — a beloved symbol of Rock Springs’ holiday spirit and one of the community’s most treasured traditions — playing nightly in the old Fire Station window from 7:30 to 8:45 PM, December 1 through January 6.

• Christmas Around the World – International Santas – Celebrate the “Home of 56 Nationalities” with life-sized Santas from around the globe and learn their unique holiday traditions. 
• "Snow is Falling" Concert, presented by the BOCES Community Chorale - Come enjoy familiar holiday melodies like you've never heard them before! (Friday, December 5, 6 pm, Holy Communion Episcopal Church of Rock Springs)
• Gelli Plate Holiday Card workshop (Thursday, December 4, 6 pm) - Join the Community Fine Arts Center for this free class.  Pre-register is required.  
• Meet Santa & The Grinch! hosted by VIRS Respite Care (Saturday, December 6, 4 pm to 7:30 pm at the Park Lounge) - Join us for some festive fun and support VIRS Respite Care! We're hosting a special photo opportunity and fundraiser during the lighted parade. Pictures with Santa OR The Grinch: $5 (Get a great photo for a great price!) Both for $10
• Let's Get Lit Holiday Parade (Wyoming Club; Saturday, December 6 - 5:30 pm to 2 am) - Join the Wyoming Club for festive drinks and holiday cheer while watching the Lighted Christmas Parade roll through Rock Springs.
• Lighted Christmas Parade – An annual community favorite, hosted by the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce. A dazzling way to launch the holiday season. (Saturday, December 6 - 5:30 pm) 

• Gelli Plate Gift Tage workshop (Thursday, December 4, 6 pm) - Join the Community Fine Arts Center for this free class.  Pre-register is required.  
• Children's Christmas Party, sponsored by AL Auxiliary Unit 24 - Enjoy visits with Santa, a gift walk, treats, stockings and crafts! (December 13, 2 pm at the American Legion)
• Park Lounge Christmas Party with Xtreme Bingo (Decemer 13, 7 pm at the Park Lounge) - The Park Lounge has teamed up with 20 local businesses to give away an extra $4,000 in prizes! 🎉 Tickets are just 1 for $5 or 5 for $20, and all proceeds benefit the Rock Springs Soup Kitchen and local families in need this Christmas. You don’t have to be present to win—stop by and grab your tickets
  
• Nativity Displays, Marguerite’s Santa and More – Explore artistic nativities, glimpses of old-town charm, and historic holiday favorites Downtown. 

• Live Theatre Experience – Don’t miss a special holiday show at the Broadway Theater, bringing live-stage entertainment to our Downtown celebration.

• • The Nutcracker, presented by the Grand Kyiv Ballet - Saturday, November 29. Don't miss this classic holiday ballet!

• Mistletoe Market – Friday, November 14 and Saturday, Nov 15: A festive indoor market featuring local vendors, unique crafts, and holiday treats.

• Downtown Christmas Open House – Saturday, Nov 15: Stroll the decorated streets, enjoy in-store specials, and celebrate what makes Downtown special.

• 7th Annual Winter Shopapalooza – Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025: A shopping extravaganza showcasing local merchants with festive flair. 
• Merry Christmas Door Hanger Workshop (Saturday, November 22) -Join Mack and Co Boutique for a fun night out creating a 14"x14" Christmas door hanger, sign up by November 19, and kits are also available to take and make.
• Plaid Friday (Friday, November 28) – The fun, festive twist on shopping local!
• Small Business Saturday (Saturday, November 29) – A day to celebrate and support our local merchants Downtown.
• Santa Walk-In Pictures at Authentic By Fitz Imagery (Saturday, November 29 and December 6, 12 noon to 4 pm).  The perfect chance to capture holiday memories.  
  
• Downtown Christmas Market – Friday & Saturday, Nov. 28-29, 2025 at Bunning Hall Freight Station. Come support small businesses and food trucks while getting your holiday shopping done! 
• 10th Annual Wrapped Up Toy Drive – A three-day benefit concert (Nov 21–23) at Bunning Hall in Rock Springs where admission is a new or gently used toy, with all proceeds supporting the Rock Springs Fire Department’s toy drive.
• Ladies Night hosted by Studio Designs Floral & Co. - December 2, 6:30 to 9 pm.   The 1st 10 shoppers to spend $75 or more will receive a FREE gift bag! (Stuffed with over $60 worth of goodies)
• Mistletoe Mingle: Ladies' Night - December 2, 6 pm to 9 pm.  
  Downtown comes alive with late-night shopping, exclusive deals, festive cocktails, and chef-crafted bites. Watch for a list of participating merchants.
  
• Christmas Porch Leaner Class - December 3, 6 pm at Mack and Co. Boutique. 
• Snowman Paint Party – Friday, Dec 5: A fun family-friendly night of painting and holiday creativity.
• Daniel's Jewelry Annual John Atencio Show (Friday, Dec 5 and Sat, Dec 6 at Daniel's Jewelry) -  A John Atencio representative will be here with an extended selection of his unique, timeless designs.
• Kid's Cocoa Board Workshop - Saturday, December 6, 4:30 pm at Mack and Co Boutique.   Kids ages 4+ (with an accompanying adult) are invited to join the Cocoa Board Workshop, where they'll stroll the “Snow Flake” table to pick their cocoa board goodies and create a festive masterpiece together.
• Jingle and Mingle - Sunday, December 7, 11 am to 2 pm at Mack and Co. Boutique.  Join us for the most exciting event of the year! Bring along a friend or two and be part of this festive gathering.
• Mistletoe Mingle: Gents' Night - Thursday, December 18, 6 pm to 9 pm - Downtown comes alive with late-night shopping, exclusive deals, festive cocktails, and chef-crafted bites. Visit the list of participating merchants throughout Downtown!
• Downtown Cookie Crawl - Saturday, December 20 - A festive cookie-exchange-style fundraiser where you'll fill a keepsake jar or holiday tray with a dozen locally baked cookies.
• Christmas Jackalope Paint Class (December 20, 4 to 6 pm at Mack and Co. Boutiue, pre-registration required).  Come join the merry fun and paint a charming Christmas Jackalope!
