Maddy's specializes in small-batch, artisanal ice cream made from scratch, featuring everything from familiar favorites like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry to creative flavors inspired by Mexican traditions and tropical fruits. Think mamey, coconut, mango, key lime pie, mazapán, mangonada and more! With more than 40 flavors in their collection and a rotating selection, there's always something new to try.
But what makes Maddy's especially meaningful is the story behind the name.
The family's ice cream tradition dates back to 1963, when Manuel González Hernandez began creating the recipe that would become the foundation of today's business. The name Maddy's honors both Manuel and Addilyn Nichole López González, carrying forward a family legacy while celebrating Addilyn's memory. It's a beautiful reminder that behind many of our local storefronts are personal stories, family histories and dreams that mean so much more than the products being sold.
And there's more than ice cream! Maddy's also offers a selection of Mexican pastries and other specialty treats, bringing additional flavors and traditions to our Downtown dining scene.
