🍔🍟🌱 ROOTED IN ROCK SPRINGS: REMEDIES GRILL

Some places serve lunch. Others serve up a little nostalgia, a lot of local history and the kind of food that keeps people coming back for generations!

Our next Rooted in Rock Springs feature is Remedies Grill, located inside Bi-Rite at 409 Broadway Street in Downtown Rock Springs.

And if you've lived in Rock Springs for any length of time, chances are you've enjoyed a burger here—or at least heard someone rave about one!

Remedies Grill is a true Downtown institution, with roots dating back to 1958, when Duce Piaia opened Bi-Rite Pharmacy. Back then, the pharmacy featured an old-fashioned soda fountain where customers could grab a bite to eat, catch up with neighbors and enjoy a little conversation.

As times changed, so did the business. The pharmacy eventually closed, but the Piaia family wasn't ready to let that gathering place disappear. In 1997, Remedies Grill officially opened, carrying on the tradition of good food, friendly service and familiar faces.

Today, Duce's sons, Mark and John Piaia, continue that family legacy.

And while plenty has changed in Downtown Rock Springs over the decades, some things at Remedies have remained wonderfully familiar!

We're talking about the famous Remedy Burger, hot fries, crispy onion rings, grilled sandwiches, root beer floats and other old-fashioned favorites. No complicated menu or fancy gimmicks—just good, satisfying food served with a side of nostalgia.

And that's part of the charm!

Step inside and you'll find a place that feels like a throwback to a different era, where the food is made to order, the atmosphere is welcoming and lunch can feel like catching up with an old friend.

But there's even more to this Downtown business than the grill!

We especially love the history behind this one. At a time when so many communities have lost their longtime, family-owned gathering places, Remedies Grill continues a tradition that began nearly 70 years ago.

That's something worth celebrating.
