🏔️🌱 ROOTED IN ROCK SPRINGS: TRAILHEAD GUNS

In Wyoming, hunting, shooting sports and the outdoors are more than just hobbies. For many families, they're traditions passed down through generations. And right here in Downtown Rock Springs, there's a locally owned business that's been part of those traditions for more than two decades.

Our next Rooted in Rock Springs feature is Trailhead Guns, located at 515 Broadway Street.

Established in 2003, Trailhead Guns has spent more than 20 years serving Rock Springs and the surrounding area as a locally owned firearms and sporting goods retailer.

But what makes a small, locally owned specialty business stand out isn't just what's on the shelves. It's the people behind the counter, their knowledge and the relationships they build with customers.

Over the years, Trailhead Guns has earned a reputation for knowledgeable staff, personal attention and that familiar small-town atmosphere. Customers frequently mention the friendly service and willingness of the staff to take time answering questions rather than rushing through an interaction.

And that's something that matters, particularly in a specialty business where experience and expertise are important.

Trailhead Guns also represents another important piece of our Downtown business community: the locally owned businesses that have weathered the ups and downs of Rock Springs' economy and continued to serve their neighbors year after year.

In a 2020 interview with SweetwaterNOW, then longtime manager Joni DePaola spoke about the challenges of operating a small business in a boom-and-bust community, but also about the rewards of building relationships with customers and being part of Sweetwater County.

That's exactly what Rooted in Rock Springs is about.

Our Downtown is home to an incredibly diverse collection of businesses, from restaurants and boutiques to professional services and specialty retailers. Each contributes something different to our local economy, provides jobs and helps make Rock Springs a community with its own identity.

And each represents someone who has chosen to invest right here at home.

We're proud to recognize Trailhead Guns as another business that's Rooted in Rock Springs!
