Performance Auto & Truck Accessories Receives October Golden Broom Award
The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency is pleased to recognize Performance Auto & Truck Accessories, 258 Elk Street, as the recipient of the October 2026 Golden Broom Award.
The Golden Broom Award recognizes Downtown businesses and property owners who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to maintaining, improving and enhancing the appearance of their properties. Performance Auto & Truck Accessories has long done an excellent job of keeping its property attractive and well maintained, but a recent investment has taken the building’s appearance to an entirely new level.
The business recently completed an extensive façade improvement that includes new windows, updated branding and signage, and a fresh stucco exterior. Together, the improvements have completely refreshed the building and created a clean, modern appearance along one of the primary gateways into Downtown Rock Springs.
“Investments like this make a noticeable difference,” said Maria Mortensen, Rock Springs Main Street/URA chairwoman. “Performance Auto & Truck Accessories has always taken pride in keeping its property looking good, and this latest project is a significant investment in both their business and our community. The transformation looks fantastic and is exactly the kind of private investment we love to recognize.”
The Golden Broom Award is presented to businesses and property owners who go above and beyond in the care and improvement of their properties. From landscaping and routine upkeep to major façade renovations, these efforts collectively help create a more attractive and welcoming Downtown for residents, visitors and neighboring businesses.
The Rock Springs Main Street/URA congratulates Performance Auto & Truck Accessories and thanks them for their continued pride in their property and investment in Downtown Rock Springs.
