Snowman Stroll Returns to Downtown Rock Springs with New Additions for 2026
The Snowman Stroll is back in Downtown Rock Springs for another winter season, bringing creativity, color, and community spirit to the heart of the city. Beginning January 28 through March 4, residents and visitors can enjoy 24 life-sized snowmen, including six brand-new designs, displayed throughout the Railside Arts and Culture District of Downtown Rock Springs.
Each snowman is uniquely designed by local artists, transforming Downtown into a festive, walkable outdoor art gallery that celebrates both winter and local creativity.
The season will officially kick off with an Opening Reception & Unveiling on Tuesday, January 27, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Bunning Hall at the Freight Station (603 S Main Street). The free, public event will give attendees the first look at the new snowmen, an opportunity to meet participating artists, and a chance to celebrate the return of this popular Downtown tradition.
The Snowman Stroll has become a favorite winter attraction, encouraging people of all ages to explore Downtown, support local businesses, and enjoy public art in an interactive way.
In addition to the exhibit, Downtown Rock Springs is planning a variety of fun, themed activities throughout the season, including a Snowman Scramble, Story Walk in partnership with the Rock Springs Library, special Snow Days, and more community-friendly events designed to keep the excitement going all winter long.
