Downtown Rock Springs Announces December Volunteers of the Month: The Bakers Behind the First-Ever Downtown Cookie Crawl & Bake Sale
The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency is proud to recognize the bakers behind this year’s first-ever Downtown Cookie Crawl & Bake Sale as the December Volunteers of the Month. This dedicated group of community members helped turn a brand-new holiday event into a sweet success—through generosity, teamwork, and countless hours behind the scenes.
Cumulatively, these volunteers donated nearly 300 hours of service, from baking and preparation to event set-up and clean-up. In addition, they contributed more than $3,000 in in-kind donations through their homemade baked goods, making a significant impact on the success of the event and Downtown’s holiday programming.
“This event simply would not have been possible without the time, talent, and heart these bakers shared,” said Maria Mortensen, URA chairwoman and the brain-power behind the Cookie Crawl . “They stepped up for something new, embraced the spirit of the season, and helped create an event we’re excited to grow in the years ahead.”
The Downtown Cookie Crawl & Bake Sale brought the community together in a festive way, celebrating local talent while supporting Downtown initiatives. The overwhelming support and enthusiasm from both volunteers and attendees underscored the strength of community involvement in Downtown Rock Springs.
