Owned by Jessie Hodder Fife, The Stellar Cellar has been part of Downtown Rock Springs since 2019 and is celebrating seven years in business this October! Over those years, Jessie has created a shop that is distinctly her own—eclectic, creative and always changing. 

Inside you’ll find an ever-changing mix of secondhand and vintage clothing, records, handmade goods, gifts, oddities and other unique treasures. It’s the kind of store where browsing is half the fun because you truly never know what you’ll discover.

And that’s part of what makes secondhand shopping so great. Something that one person is finished with gets another chance to be worn, displayed, collected or loved. It’s affordable, sustainable and a whole lot more interesting than everything looking exactly the same.

But The Stellar Cellar is also a great example of how a small business can contribute well beyond its own front door. Jessie regularly collaborates with other businesses, makers and artists, participates in Downtown promotions, and creates experiences that give people another reason to explore the district. That commitment recently earned The Stellar Cellar recognition as our September 2026 Business of the Month. 

That creativity and individuality are a big part of what Rooted in Rock Springs is all about. Locally owned businesses don’t have to fit a mold—and we think our community is a whole lot more interesting because they don’t.
