Summer Reading

THURSDAYS AT 11 AM Let’s combine creativity and literacy all summer long! This program is appropriate for all ages.

• JUNE 11 - SCALES & TAILS SUMMER READING KICKOFF It’s time! Learn all about modern day reptiles with Scales and Tails before learning all about dinosaurs during Summer Reading! We’ll be at Bunning Park at 11 and 1. We can’t wait to see you there!
• JUNE 18 - DINOSAUR PROJECTORS What’s more fun than telling stories about dinosaurs? Telling dino stories in the dark! Make a simple projector craft this week that only works in the dark.
• JUNE 25 - EDWINA STORY WALK It’s time for a story and a snack! Read a fun book at your own pace this week. Then excavate a chocolate chip cookie, almost like Edwina does.
• JULY 2 - TIME CAPSULES What do you think the world will look like in 250 years? Maybe the time capsules we create this week will last that long!
• JULY 9 - WORM RACES They’re wiggly and they’re slithery and they’re at the library! Choose your champion this week, and see if they have what it takes to win! All worms will be released into the library garden at the end of the program.
• JULY 16 - ARCHAEOLOGY DIG Did you know Wyoming used to be an ocean? Dig up a sea creature this week at our excavation site. Then decorate it before you head home.
• JULY 23 - DINO ADOPTION & DINO DIRT CUPS Dinosaurs have taken over the library! Choose one to adopt this week. Then make a snack to share before you head home.
• JULY 30 - BUGS IN AMBER CRAFT Amber has kept treasures safe for millions of years. What will you decide to keep safe?
• AUGUST 6 - TILLY’S BIRTHDAY PARTY We’re saying goodbye to Summer Reading, and Happy Birthday to Tilly! Join us for music, snacks, and a roaring good time!
