Building Improvement Funds

• Facade Improvement Program

Entitles applicants up to $3,000 reimbursement towards facade improvements.  Grant requires a 50/50 match.  Paint grant portion entitles applicants up to $500 reimbursement towards paint.  Paint is 100% reimbursed.

• Historic Architect Assistance Funds

Provides professional and technical architecutural services to the owners of historic buildings or buildings located in a Main Street Community.

• Revolving Loan Fund

A loan to building owners through a local commercial lender for building improvements to maintain a structure’s historical character.

Training Grants

• SWEDA – Workforce Training Grants

Employers and employees are eligible for assistance funds towards training, food, loding and travel.

Tax Incentives

• Historic Preservation Tax Incentives

Tax incentives to support the rehabilitation of historic and older buildings.
-20% tax credit for the certified rehabilitation of certified historic structures
-10% tax credit for the rehabilitation of non-historic, non residential buildings built before 1936
